Furniture:
The furniture is hand made from Sheesham (Indian Rose Wood) or Babool (Acacia) wood.
Sheesham is a high-grade solid hardwood, the grains being similar to Teak in appearance.
Acacia (Babool) is an environmental friendly hard wood. Strong & durable. It appears to change color & luster in different lighting condition from light tan to dark brown sometimes appearing similar to walnut & sometimes to rosewood.

The wood is pre processed chemically treated bug resistant & then dried up in seasoning kilns to get the moisture level around 8%. Skilled artisans & Master craftsman work upon these kiln dried wooden planks to sculpture them into beautiful pieces of art.
The wood furniture is finished in various shades like teak, walnut, rosewood, mahogany antique & natural using natural wax or stains and lacquers. This furniture is guaranteed to last a lifetime if maintained correctly.
Wood is a dynamic, natural, living product and each species has individual characteristics such as color and texture. The wood in furniture continues to exchange moisture with the air and is shrinking and expanding in response to changes in relative humidity. The furniture's quality and sturdiness are not affected by these natural changes. Avoid direct sunlight, excessive light, heat, hot items, and condensation from cold items, extreme changes in temperature and relative humidity and water. Dust your furniture regularly with a damp soft and clean cloth only by following the grain pattern of the wood. Clean spillage's ( esp. alcohol) immediately. Professionals must do repair, stain removal and refinishing only to avoid damage.

Our Carpets & rugs are hand knotted made from 100% environment friendly natural fibers like Wool, Cotton, Jute, Seagrass, Shenille, Hemp & Leather. Fine quality hand knotted carpets woven on the loom are regarded as an investment for life and valued for their beauty and artistry.
Sea Grass is the least expensive and one of the most versatile natural floor covering. It is grown is in the coastal belt of India. It is a stable, almost impermeable, fiber, which is highly resistant to stains & dirt. It has an attractive twill look & a random mix of natural colors. |

Sea grass carpet can be used anywhere. Excellent neutral colors in its own right - brown & beige stands with a definite green tinge hence cannot be dyed. Sea grass rug is a practical material as it does not often stain and dirt is easily brushed loose.
Jute, which is 61% cellulose, is grown in eastern India. It is creamy white to brown in color. White soft jute although traditionally used as a carpet backing, Jute is one of the finest and softest of natural floor covering material, even though the fiber is soft it is very strong & durable and has natural fire retardant properties,
Naturally a pale neutral brown, it can be bleached to create very pale cream, or dyed and then hand woven, like carpet, to create simple color pattern. As Jute rugs are very soft, they are ideal for bedroom floors.
Hemp is a golden fiber which comes from plant cultivated in eastern part of India. Different textures of Hemp rugs can also be made by combination of Jute or Sea grass.
Vacuum your rugs regularly. Remove stains immediately using the correct stain removal method. Professional cleaning is recommended. Avoid direct sunlight, extreme humidity and water. Shading, a change in pile direction, might appear and is not considered as manufacturing defect.

| Block Printing Process: |
|
The block-printed cottons of Jaipur have been renowned for their exquisite pattern, and coloring for at least two hundred and fifty years.
The cornerstone of the block printing process is the carving of the wood blocks. A block starts out as a planed slice of shesham wood. Once the blocks are carved the fabric is prepared for printing.
The fabric (usually cotton) is first bleached and dried then the printing process commences. Before any of the color blocks are used the outline of the design is first printed. The outline block is often the costliest of all the blocks in a design set. The outline provides the framework on the basis of which the rest of the design is printed. Once the outline is printed the remaining colors are filled in. |

Block Printing employs various dyes like vegetable dyes, pigment dyes, rapid dyes and discharge dyes. While easy to mix Pigment dyes are favored, the luminous colors achieved by Vegetable dyes and the color fastness guaranteed by Rapid and Discharge dyes, makes them attractive choices too.
The fabric is then thoroughly washed and sun dried. The fabric is then measured, cut and stitched according to design specifications. The finished pieces are sent to the ironing unit where they are ironed, folded, inspected and packed for their journey across the globe.
